6 years ago, I've hired a webmaster to manage my 2 of company websites.
By the time I had to let go of my webmaster, I've found out both of my websites are not submitted to rssfeed at all for the past 3 to 4 years.
Well,I do learn my past mistakes,never hires unreliable webmaster if they are not capable to get their job done.
Why do we need rss feed in website or blog ?
Here are few of must know about the importance of rss feeds for you & your business .
- Once you have you website or blog submitted, it is easier for search engine spiders/robots being able to find & crawl your urls sitelinks.
- Social networks (like facebook,twitter,googleplus) plays a major part in most industries,you can install or direct rss feed applications to grab new updates on your post automatically to your social networks.
- Let your customers or site followers to subcribe newsletter or any new information to from their email.
- You're able to promote your own new products to send it first to your subscribers & customers.
- If your webmaster are to lazy to submit your site to rss feed burner.You Can Still Do It by yourself easily !
- Go to Google Rss Feed Burner ,you can choose your gmail or yahoo mail e.g. to log in.
- Go to Edit Feed Details......
- Copy & paste your website/blog url,, tick podcaster box & click next .
- Select either one of the feed,complete these 2 steps by clicking to next again .
- Once you see this,click next again.
- Optional : You can skip this step & carry on to next page .
- Click Clickthroughs & I want more! tick boxes & go to next page.
- Once completed ,you will see this message ......
- And this message too, it takes 24 hours or so to let rss feed find & crawl you website/ blog xml sitemap .You check again to see it's finally fully crawl & complete
